rowhouse bakery and restaurant

Only comment is that our waitress, although very efficient and accurate in terms of our order and timing, did not smile once the entire night. Horrible service, served burnt food, no clean glasses for beverages, no orange juice for brunch, no brunch drink menus Had to use our phones to look up menus on their website while we were at the restaurant. I guess I should have called to confirm. My wife ordered a breakfast pizza that she really liked too. I have had a good meal in the past. I was very disappointed to not be able to try the menu listed on the website. Not sure what that was about. I'd review for the setting, but the service has always been poor when I've gone to this restaurant. I've lived in New York for the past 15 years and even I think this was a total rip off. The food was excellent; there was a buffet with many options and everything was top notch. We were "greeted" by a very lackluster host who looked annoyed to have to seat us after handing us our menus to carry ourselves kind of strange to the table. Menu limited. They even sent us home with extra pastries leftover from the brunch. So, we wanted to try it out on our own. Food was good overall, albeit pricey. Do you normally serve breakfast menus items during brunch time except for Sunday holidays??? In addition no one seemed aware of or even acknowledged the lack of good service. While they did bring an untoasted piece, which is how I discovered it was stale - and a biscuit The juices are amazing. The biscuits, eggs and gravy was original and my son loved it. Went to RowHouse for brunch with my kids to celebrate Father's Day - - the new menu is outstanding and the food was excellent. Not excited to try again as a result of this experience. It looks like brunch may not be their forte. The pizzas are fantastic. Bar area closed for private party and loud. Banana and berry french toast was delicious, and the prosciutto on the breakfast pizza was like the kind served in Italy and the crust is amazing too. Another 10 minutes passed before he brought our drinks which were really good; nice cold mimosas. This first impression was the theme that continued on. At the end, another server not ours came over and apologized for the extreme delay in getting the pizza and comped our drinks. After the 15 minutes of waiting, a server came over and asked us if anyone had been over to take our orders. What a disappointing dining experience. This was our 2nd attempt to give Rowhouse another try in the past 2 months only to be disappointed again. My food by then was cold. We order 2 more mimosas before the pizza arrived, which took another 10 minutes to arrive at our table. Maybe they were just having a bad day, but we have decided to go elsewhere the next time we have breakfast in Buffalo. Out of food and beverage items and the smell of wood from oven was strong. Nothing on the website noted an all you can eat buffet option only. This was very nice but could have been avoided completely. I had been so looking forward to a dining experience at The Rowhouse. BUT, my food came out first. I had drunk all my water and the glass remained empty for the next 20 minutes until we left. We went for a Saturday Brunch. We had only had a private event birthday party there earlier this year and were happy with the experience then. Was not aware and was not expecting to not be able to order from the menu. Waited for over a half an hour for coffee and server never even took our order. Excellent all around. They still didn't have items that my friends wanted so we decided to leave and go to Betty's. Crusty bready is still supposed to be soft inside. It was a lovely atmosphere and we really enjoyed our esperien. They were out of half the menu. Two of us got the buffet which really you can only eat one plate of , my mom got ONE free mimosa free to moms only and one additional, I got a latte. In fact, we waited a very long time for everything. Food was affordable and creatively prepared; the vegan burger was a particular highlight. We will definitely be back. Then, no exaggeration here All the while, our server never came over to apologize or explain the situation. It was also completely boring and uncreative. When we finally got our bill, we had been overcharged for sides of food that were part of the standard descriptions on the menu. This was the first day of a new menu. I ordered a basic breakfast plate with over-easy eggs, bacon, sausage, hash, and toast, which also was very good. The manager stopped by at the end of the meal to make sure my guest and I were satisfied with everything. Good ambience the interior is a must-see! After someone finally showed up to take our order, we waited over at least an hour and a half for our food to arrive. We continued to get the impression that few staff members even cared to move faster to provide good service. The food was fine, but buffet food is never amazing. Those items were not even on the buffet. I told them that I was vegan and the only reason I picked this please was because of the pizza and that they really didn't have any other vegan options, so she went down to the kitchen and returned saying no problem they can do pizzas for me. I imagine they would be better for dinner. We said, "no" and then he took our drink order. I ordered the Porkchop off the menu which was delicious but bloodier than medium There were a few noisy people at the bar which made it unpleasant for some in our dining party. Very bland. The service was very mediocre Saturday night. It seems like they need a manager or something. When I checked the website and menu for Sunday brunch, I noticed 11 - 2 and a lovely menu I was truly anticipating. We sat and the waitress came over to let us know that they were out of all pizzas, all of their bowls and practically all of their juices and smoothies. Sadly I would not go back because the lazy service of most of the staff members. We loved the ambience. The toast is terrible and a terrible value. The pastries are delicious. Our server was great. Venue was beautiful.

Restaurant was closed, we had to go looking for a place for our guests. The food was mediocre at best.

Food on brunch buffet was completely cold. One half chicken was under cooked. The strip steak was a poor cut of meat for the price.

The food was terrific and wait staff was courteous and attentive. Our food was amazing, the building and decor are absolutely stunning. My wife and I are very patient people but this was too much even for us. She was certainly nice but also made a mistake and charged us for 6 people for brunch instead of 3 which I certainly caught and had her fix. Not very organized. We have eaten here before for breakfast and really enjoyed it, but unfortunately this was not the case on this last occasion. My wife and I were excited to try Rowhouse for brunch. This place is supremely overpriced. Got some juice to go and it took forever and was very disorganized not to mention she tried over charging us. Pastries were good, not great. For the price, there should have been an omelette station, or at least freshly made waffles or pancakes.
